Senior Underwriter

Location: New York, NY

The candidate will work independently to underwrite healthcare receivables, asset based and cash flow loan transactions within the credit risk parameters established at HFG.  They will effectively coordinate and manage the underwriting process with Field Exam, Marketing, Credit, Legal, Syndications, and other third party vendors and consultants involved in understanding the credit risks of a loan transaction.  They will demonstrate a thorough understanding of the credit and financial analysis needed to assess risks associated with healthcare loan opportunities.  Their job includes preparing or overseeing Credit Action Memos (CAMs) that accurately reflect the loans projected availability and fixed charges with sensitivity analysis of appropriate credit risks, as well as negotiate terms, conditions and documentation of approved loan transactions. They will also supports Syndications with the preparation and distribution of information distributed to investors and assists in business development as requested.

Experience:  A B.S. or B. A. and an MBA is a plus.  Seven years plus commercial banking and or asset based lending experience. Formal credit training is desired or relevant work-related experience with strong demonstrated credit, oral and written communication skills.
